Loquats Honey 1 kg.

Honey of Loquats 1 Kg.
Honey typical of the area, limited production. (It is not known almost in the rest of Spain)
Honey of dark orange color, clear amber, with fruity sweet flavor that remembers the flavor of the loquat, very smooth and pleasant to the palate, little acid and with a "froral" aroma.
- Because of its high iron content helps to fight anemia.

- If taken in the right amounts helps to combat constipation, so it is considered a good natural laxative..
- It is recommended to help fight intestinal disorders.

- And like all honeys: it is a good ally to fight against winter colds. It has an antibiotic effect that makes it very indicated to relieve throat and pharynx infections.
-The honey of loquats, like orange honey, has relaxing and soothing effects.

★  The loquat came to Europe from Japan in the XVIII century as an ornamental tree. In the XIX century began the consumption of fruits throughout the Mediterranean area, where it adapted very well to the areas of cultivation of citrus, and becoming the typical fruit of Callosa de Ensarriá, Altea, La Nuncía, Polop and also from nearby areas, such as the Guadalest Valley.

★ The flowering occurs at the end of autumn or in winter, from October to February. They are days where the temperatures of the day scarcely exceed 12º - 15º, but the bees take advantage of the loquats flower because for them there is not so much offer of nectar at that time of the year.
